This issue is rather controversial. It is a look at the Jerusalem School (JS), a group of scholars who (roughly) propose that the synoptic gospels have an underlying Hebrew proto-text (most evident in Luke) whose ideas formed in the early 1960\'s. This issue gives the JS scholars and some invited scholars (critics) an opportunity to express their positions. I found it a very stimulating issue. Both sides have their pros and cons. This issue includes articles by the founders of the JS, namely Flusser and Lindsey, both now deceased, and others involved with the JS.
One thing I completely believe is that Hebrew was the dominant language of Jesus, which is not to say he may have known other ones (Aramaic, Greek, etc.). Multilingual people always have one in which they are most competent. This point is brought home by Lund\'s article \"The Language of Jesus.\" Overall, an interesting read from cover to cover.
